The calibre of the players that attended those sessions earlier this year saw the scheme expanded from 16 to 24 scholars.Ĭoronavirus restrictions had limited contact time with the Club’s Academy coaches since then but all 24 scholars were invited back to The Kia Oval on Tuesday for a full training session. It’s felt like a lifetime since the ACE Programme open days in March but after all the trials of 2020, the successful scholars made their return to The Kia Oval this week.
